This web application was developed for the Waitematā District Health Board (WDHB) to support both staff and community members in navigating healthcare facilities and understanding internal terminology. Designed with usability in mind, the tool offers a searchable database of technical terms and definitions, acting as an A–Z glossary to assist new staff and visitors in becoming familiar with the organisation’s language and practices.

In addition to the glossary, the application includes a powerful location finder that allows users to search and identify specific buildings and departments across multiple WDHB sites. Whether someone is navigating the hospital for the first time or searching for a particular service, the app streamlines the experience with clear, accessible information.

By centralising this information in one user-friendly platform, the tool enhances orientation, promotes consistency, and supports smoother day-to-day operations within the DHB.
